Teachers As Scholars Consultants

About the Program

Teachers As Scholars Consultants are former members of Teachers As Scholars seminars who choose to pursue seminar-related projects in their classrooms after the Humanities Institute seminar is over. The TAS Consultant position aims to support our teacher-scholars as they bring their passion for learning back to their students. The program provides teachers with the resources to both develop curriculum inspired by TAS seminars for their own courses as well as to share that curriculum with other educators. The position offers teachers expanded library access, University of Texas affiliation, access to University resources and contacts for their specific project, as well as the opportunity to publish online classroom resources.

Consultant Benefits

Like scholars who visit the UT campus from other schools and universities, Humanities Institute TAS Consultants receive temporary access to the University’s library resources. TAS Consultants are appointed from the time of their acceptance in the program through the end of the following summer. TAS Consultants will receive:
